Meet the Dwyer Quality Homes Construction Team

At Dwyer Quality Homes, our construction supervisors are the ones bringing your home to life – keeping everything running smoothly on site and making sure every detail is just right.

Here’s a quick introduction to three of our supervisors who make it all happen.

Meet Our Site Supervisors

Taylor Fenton

At any one time, Taylor oversees the construction of eight to nine homes, juggling client meetings, trade coordination, and day-to-day site management, usually with his trusty notebook in hand.

With more than three years at Dwyer Quality Homes and a lifetime on the Sunshine Coast, he brings a calm, steady approach to every project.

His down-to-earth attitude, combined with a sharp eye for detail, ensures every home under his supervision is delivered to the high standard DQH is known for.

“Every build is different, but that’s where our team really shines,” Taylor said.

“We’ve all come from different backgrounds and worked on a wide range of projects, so chances are someone’s already come across each challenge before.

“Everyone’s got each other’s back, from the construction crew to the office staff, so no challenge feels too big when you’re part of a team like this.”

Fun facts:

  • What’s your go-to beverage on-site? Coffee – strong and lots of it!
  • What’s your life outside of work like? I’m a dad to a one-and-a-half-year-old and two dogs
  • What’s your beverage of choice after work? Asahi
  • Describe your morning routine. Pick up a coffee, check the diary, stop by the hardware store for supplies, and then straight to site

Dylan Slater

Dylan’s been hands-on in the building industry since high school, first as an apprentice, then as a tradesman, and now as one of our site supervisors.

He’s managed a mix of terrace homes and knockdown rebuilds across the Sunshine Coast, including 17 terrace homes in Harmony. That site alone was complex, with Dylan coordinating access for machinery and supplies through narrow accessways and shared alleys – but he took it all in stride.

“That’s where being a local builder really makes a difference,” Dylan says. “We’re not a franchise – we know the people, the land and the conditions. That local knowledge helps us tackle challenges efficiently and keep things moving smoothly.”

When asked what advice he’d give to first-time builders, Dylan keeps it simple and reassuring.

“Just know that everything’s fixable,” he says. “If a challenge comes up, it’s never as big as it seems once you step back and work through it. And with our team, we’re committed to making sure everything goes smoothly for our clients.”

Fun facts:

  • What do you listen to in the car? NRL podcasts
  • What’s life like outside of work? I have one child, with another on the way
  • What’s your beverage of choice after work? An ice-cold beer – I’m not picky.

Tom Lingham

For Tom, he knew from a young age that he wanted to work with his hands, something that has guided his career with Dwyer Quality Homes. Starting with the company as a tiler, Tom spent more than two decades perfecting his craft, before stepping into a supervisor role five years ago.

Now, he manages projects from Caboolture to the Gold Coast, including detailed architectural builds that require true attention to detail. His hands-on background gives him an eye for quality, right down to the finer details that make all the difference.

“Seeing that finished product come together, that’s what it’s all about,” Tom says. “There’s something really rewarding about watching a home take shape and knowing the care and effort that’s gone into every stage.”

Fun facts:

  • What do you listen to in the car? Anything on the radio
  • What do you get up to outside of work? Surfing or volunteering as a lifeguard at Bribie Island.
  • What’s your go-to after-work drink? Super Crisp or James Squire Ginger Beer.

Working Together to Bring Your Home to Life

Ask anyone at DQH, and they’ll tell you the same thing: the construction team is like a family. They’re easy-going, reliable, and solutions-focused. As Office Administrator Rachel Knox puts it:

“They’ve got great rapport with clients and with each other. Everyone steps in to help when challenges come up and there’s a real sense of teamwork.”
